Marenn-Parenn has begun a New York City Chapter. The kick off meeting was held on Tuesday, November 25, 2004. An enthusiastic crowd met at the offices of Community Resource Exchange. The group divided into work committees and is setting goals for the next year. The smiles on the faces of the children and the hope in their eyes made everyone energized to do work for Marenn-Parenn. Check back for more report backs.

Mareen-Parenn Pou Haiti is in the shantytown of Petite Place Cazeau, northeast of the capitol, Port-au-Prince.
Although quite crowded by American standards, the children at the school most Marenn-Parenn children attend feel very lucky because they are actually attending school. There are very few public schools in Haiti. Marenn-Parenn pays the school fees of many of the children to enable them to attend school. Here is a teacher and his students.
